Elizabeth A. Parker
Ms. Parker's holistic approach to family law has developed over time through her experience in the field of family law, mediation, protection from abuse, and more.
Elizabeth A. Parker is an experienced family law attorney, certified mediator, and holds a Masters in Psychology. She practices in all aspects of family law, including child custody divorce, complex support, property distribution, and has developed a great passion for victim's rights and protection from abuse matters. Ms. Parker has been named Pennsylvania's Top Ten in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
In addition to practicing law, Attorney Parker has been a speaker and author in the legal community. Notably, she was a guest speaker at the ABA Equal Justice Conference in Portland, Oregon, and lectured at the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges. She has authored several articles through the ACBA Lawyers Journal and co-authored the Eleventh and Twelfth Editions of the Pennsylvania Family Law Citator.
Ms. Parker serves on the Council of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Family Law Section, and serves as co-chair of its Programming Committee. In addition, she is a member of the ABCA Judiciary Committee and ACBA Bench Bar Committee.
Attorney Parker serves on the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Legal Services Association, a non-profit, public interest law firm that provides civil legal assistance to residents of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence Counties.
In addition to her commitment to legal services and the legal community, Ms. Parker also serves on the Board of Directors of the State YMCA of Pennsylvania. Through a mock-government program called “Youth and Government”, the State YMCA educates hundreds of high school students each year. Ms. Parker continues to lead educational workshops and provide guidance for the students in the judicial branch of this program.
Ms. Parker is admitted to the practice of law by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court of Western Pennsylvania. She received her Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law. She earned her baccalaureate, magna cum laude, from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is a lifetime member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Fraternity. Recently, Ms. Parker received her Masters in Psychology from Carlow University, earning membership into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
